I walked into the photography studio for headshots, and Liam, with his camera and kind smile, instantly made me question if I was finally ready to embrace my gay identity fully. Taking a chance, after the shoot, I nervously asked him out for coffee, surprised and thrilled when he blushed, admitting he was also LGBT and had been hoping I'd say something, launching us into a whirlwind romance neither of us saw coming. Now, years later, our life together is a joyful testament to the courage we found in that unexpected, brightly lit space.
