Gay runners
At the football game, surrounded by cheering fans, I noticed Adrian, a quiet artist amidst the rowdy crowd, and felt an unexpected connection. Despite our different worlds, my sporty persona and his artistic soul, we talked easily, discovering a shared vulnerability that transcended our differences as we laughed and cheered. As the game ended, the energy of the crowd faded, and we both realized that we were finally, comfortably, ready to be openly gay, knowing our future was together. Holding hands as we walked away, feeling the warm glow of our connection, knowing we were supported by our respective friends, ready to participate as active members of the LGBT community.
